REVOLATIONS

prof don t. nomuch REVOLUTIONS

It was either the 2nd or 3rd revolution
When I jumped upon the scene
Who counts in these try times?

I don’t think anyone knew
Where they were going.
Small children were crying for their mothers
Their fathers had disappeared long ago.

An old woman reaches
Out for one of the crying babies
You could tell it wasn’t hers
It looked like she was trying to regain
Something she had lost long ago.

Life here has lost all purpose
Nothing but ups and downs
Life has become a terrible circle.

I found myself holding on
Tighter than necessary
Afraid of loosing my few worldly
Possessions, a camera and film
And a mashed candy bar

The world had become a blur
And I felt the urge to vomit.

I wonder why I am here
I think I’m too old to
Ride a merry-go-round.
