FRIDAY AFTERNOON
FRIDAY AFTERNOON
Where are you now that I need you?
Everything is dark and uncertain
It seems that everyone is against Me
MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY DID YOU FORSAKE ME?
You being at My side would be like an army.
But you are gone, like the rest.
I keep calling your name
The echoes of it sound again and again
Through the valleys of My imagination,
And you do not come
You do not answer.
You hear Me for I can feel your embarrassment.
That I understand, for I know you like no other can.
The hatred, the lies, the lust, the greed,
The stubbornness. and all the other
Black slime that is a part of you.
I have seen it all today.
The pain is more than anyone
Should have to endure
Not from what they are doing to Me
But you – you have to take that responsibility.
I AM THIRSTY.
Still I want you near Me.
Again I call your name.
If you should have a change of heart remember
There’s always a place by My side,
That soon will be pierced.
IT IS FINISHED
